Night Games

Ah, Night Games.
Don't you just love the feeling you get when you play? The pure joy of being with your friends and the kids you grew up with. The feeling you get when you know you are just about to be caught. I could talk about all of my favorite night games. Here's a list of the ones we usually play the most:

•Ghost in the Graveyard... A classic. You're scared to leave the base because there is the chance that you don't see the Ghost and they will attack you... or tag you. And when you are it, oh you just can't wait to catch the first person who comes into view. You sit and wait with anticipation to attack... or tag.
•Fugitive... Sneaking around, hiding, and getting caught. I know our neighborhood like the back of my hand. I have no problem with sneaking around in peoples yard to get to the next. After all, I have lived here my whole life. If you are it you ride around on different types of transportation like scooters, bikes, and sometimes cars. Scooters is usually just around the neighborhood, bikes are to the church, and cars are to further places like Kholers or Walmart. Its great just to be moving around so much in the night.
•Judge's Rule... Line up behind the judge and follow. Sneak away and risk getting caught. If you get caught three times you're it. Being it isn't always the best unless you know all the hiding spots. Like I do in my yard. You also have to follow the same trail. You noticed that you missed a spot, but that's too bad, no going back.
•Murder in the Dark... There's always that eerie feeling in the air because you never know when someone will slit your throat and tell you that you're dead. You can't cry out for help, they find your body in the darkness. They find you and call every one together to find out the murderer and execute them. If your wrong, you lose a person. If your right, the murderer is gone and its all over. If your the murderer its hard because whenever you get close to someone they giggle or scream. You have to surprise them and do it quick. They may scream before you kill them. This is one of my favorites.
•Sardines... I have no idea why it is called sardines... maybe its because you get them in packs and they are all mushed together. This game just like hide and seek with a twist. I find it a lot more fun. You hide with the person. Its simple and easy to explain, whereas other games may be harder to explain and no one understands it. It may be simple but it is a lot of fun.

Night Games is always a great memory. One you can keep forever. Some of them may be stupid. Most are amazing and exciting. I love the rush of joy I get when I go play night games. Big groups are always the best. Especially with the right people...
Like I said... Ah, Night Games...
